Tavel

The only appellation in the Rhône Valley entirely dedicated to rosé, Tavel boasts a long history dating back to the popes of Avignon and the kings of France, who were already connoisseurs of its full-bodied wines. On its terroirs of rounded pebbles, sand, and limestone, a wide range of grape varieties—Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Clairette, Bourboulenc, and Picpoul—give rise to rosés of character, which are structured, aromatic, and deeply rooted in their terroir.
