Wine Advocate #175 - Feb 2008
Score : 89+
It is nearly impossible to believe the 2005 St.-Joseph Lieu-Dit St.-Joseph Blanc spent over two years in new oak given how little wood is apparent in the wine. It is stunning, rich, and intense, with plenty of honeysuckle, crushed rock as well as white flower characteristics. Robert Parker.

Ripe and forward, showing lots of melon, creamed peach, macadamia nut and almond flavors, with a big, juicy finish. Yet the framework is solid, with good grip on the finish. Drink now through 2008. 500 cases made. James Molesworth.

Yellow-gold. Intense oak spice (this was aged in all new oak) accents peach and pear on the nose. Ripe peach flavor complicated but not overwhelmed by strong spice notes of clove, nutmeg and cinnamon. This has both concentration and energy, and finishes juicy and quite long. Josh Raynolds.
