Dégustation

Visuel : Robe rouge noire avec des reflets très sombres.
Olfactif : Petits fruits noirs, cuirs, réglisse et arômes de torréfaction et d’épices orientales. Intensité aromatique puissante.
Gustatif : Entrée en bouche puissante et structure massive des tanins. Beaucoup de richesse et de concentration. Expression affirmée du terroir.
Ensemble : Ce vin de très longue garde, massif et concentré, possède une rare intensité de saveur et de robe.

The most intense and opaque purple-colored effort is the 2006 La Landonne. More primordial than either the La Mouline or La Turque, it exhibits notes of asphalt, blackberries, charcoal, truffles, roasted meats and creme de cassis. Full-bodied as well as extraordinarily pure and rich, it is approachable, but will benefit from 4-5 years of bottle age and last 30-40 years. Drink: 2015 - 2055. Robert Parker.

This is packed for the vintage, with dark bittersweet chocolate and espresso leading the way for the core of dense fig paste, hoisin sauce and mulled blackberry fruit. Inky ruby. The knockout nose offers a surreal display of fresh red and dark berries, spiced plum, flowers, incense and cracked pepper. Impossibly deep but fresh, with vivid cherry and dark berry flavors and penetrating minerality. This looks like a stunner and stands head and shoulders over its 2006 stablemates today. Unreal. Bright ruby. Expressive, highly perfumed bouquet of raspberry, blackberry, anise, botanical herbs and incense. The spicy palate displays vivid, sharply focused red fruit and floral pastille qualities. Suave, building tannins add focus to this gently chewy, almost shockingly lithe and elegant Landonne, whose finish is precise, vibrant and surreally long. Josh Raynolds.

Saturated ruby. Smoky cassis and mulberry on the nose, with licorice and incense notes adding complexity. Impressively concentrated and energetic, offering sweet dark fruit flavors and notes of bitter cherry and violet pastille. As deep as the Turque but more expressive, with strong finishing minerality and persistent sweetness and spiciness. Josh Raynolds.

Deep ruby. B oysenberry, smoky Indian spices, licorice and violet on the nose. Then sweet, supple and expansive in the mouth, with strikingly deep flavors of dark berry and cherry compote, mocha and violet pastille. The endless finish displays fine-grained tannins and intense licorice and floral notes. This will age at a snail's pace. Josh Raynolds.

Score : 19/20

Nez de fleurs et de ronces. Le grain de tanin est dense et épais, le volume de bouche est phénoménal, grâce à une vinification en rafles entières. Énorme mâche, c’est un vin surpuissant mais qui reste équilibré et surtout bien frais.
