The 2006 Gigondas is outstanding, and certainly one of the best wines of that vintage. It has softened up considerably, and now that it is in bottle, offers loads of black cherry and raspberry notes intermixed with crushed rock, cedar, fruitcake, and spice. It is a big, medium to full-bodied wine that should continue to drink well for up to another decade. Drink: 2010 - 2020. Robert Parker.

Really fine, with racy, well-embedded acidity that lets the sandalwood, espresso, mulled plum and tobacco notes mingle together through the finish. Some mature hints of tobacco and game are starting to show as well, though there's grip in reserve. Drink now through 2011. 10,000 cases made. James Molesworth.

Bright ruby. Highly aromatic bouquet of raspberry, dried rose, white pepper and herbs. Fresh red fruits on the palate, with notes of succulent herbs and smoky minerals adding complexity. Lithe and precise on the finish, with the floral note echoing. Josh Raynolds.

Trame serrée, un vin concentré et dense, avec une bouche droite, une finale ferme.
