Vintages 2003

Wine Advocate #163 - Feb 2006

Score : (87-88)

From an extremely difficult vintage, the 2003 Gigondas (two-thirds Grenache and one-third Mourvedre and Syrah) has more in common with a lighter-styled Pinot Noir than a muscular Gigondas. It is nicely balanced, but hardly inspirational. Robert Parker

Wine Spectator -  Nov 15, 2006

Score: 88

Offers lots of raspberry and currant fruit, with a very tarry backdrop, but has the flesh and ripeness to pull it off. Sweet spice notes linger on the finish. Drink now through 2007. 1,500 cases made. James Molesworth.

Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar - Jan/Feb 07

Score : 87

Medium red. Ripe, roasted cherry and dark berry aromas, with a wild, gamey undercurrent. Powerful, liqueur-like raspberry and smoked meat flavors and a spicy finish. Very 2003 in character. I'd drink this on the young side. Josh Raynolds

Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France

Score : 15/20

Un vin riche, aux tanins épicés et puissants. La bouche est veloutée, avec une finale sur la cerise noire.
