The excellent 2007 Crozes-Hermitage blanc (95% Marsanne and 5% Roussanne) was aged in 25% oak, and was put through full malolactic fermentation. It reveals crisp honeyed citrus along with subtle notions of hazelnut and exotic tropical fruits. Medium-bodied, zesty, and flavorful, it should be enjoyed over the next 2-3 years. Drink: 2009 - 2012. Robert Parker.

Quite rich and forward, with macadamia nut, Jonagold apple, melon and butter notes that carry through the long, creamy finish. Drink now through 2009. 4,580 cases made.  James Molesworth.

Light yellow. Fresh citrus and pear aromas are deepened by vanilla bean, smoky minerals and baking spices. Lively, finely etched lemon and orchard fruit flavors deliver solid punch but carry no excess weight. Clean and brisk on the finish, which repeats the citrus notes. Guigal told me that he thinks this is the only white wine in the cellar that works with shellfish as the others are "dense, powerful and better suited to lobster or rich fishes." Josh Raynolds.
