Wine Advocate #193 - Feb 2011
Score : 92
The 2007 St.-Joseph Lieu-Dit St.-Joseph is more fruit-driven and opulent, with more flesh and silkier tannins. It may not have quite the nuances and complexity of the 2006 at present, but those characteristics should evolve with further aging. Full-bodied and pure, this fruit-driven St.-Joseph should drink well for 7-10 years. Drink: 2011 - 2021. Robert Parker.

Alluring cocoa powder, black tea and espresso aromas give way to a nicely structured core of black cherry, black currant and fig notes. The espresso edge takes over on the still-grippy finish. Best from 2011 through 2018. 650 cases made. James Molesworth.

Ruby-red. Explosively perfumed bouquet of cherry-vanilla, mulberry and Indian spices, along with building notes of potpourri and cracked pepper. Bright red and dark berry preserve flavors are enlivened by tangy minerality and become smokier with aeration. Refreshingly juicy and lively for a rich wine, with excellent finishing clarity and lingering spiciness. Josh Raynolds.
